The simple classification of glass is mainly composed of flat glass and special glass. Flat glass is mainly divided into three kinds: lead-up flat glass (groove / no groove two kinds), flat-drawn flat glass and float glass. Float glass is becoming the mainstream of glass manufacturing because of its uniform thickness, flat upper and lower surfaces, high labor productivity and favorable management. There are many special glass varieties, and the following are common varieties in decoration.
1. Ordinary flat glass.
1, 3--4 glass, mm is also known as "Li" in daily life. The 3 glass we refer to refers to the thickness of 3mm glass. This type of glass is mainly used for the frame surface.
2, 5--6 glass, mainly used for exterior windows, doors and other small area translucent modeling and so on.
3, 7--9 glass, mainly for indoor screens and other large areas, but also with frame protection.
4, 9--10 glass can be used for indoor large area partition, railings and other decoration projects.
5, 11--12 glass can be used for ground spring glass doors and some activities larger pedestrian partition.
6, 15% above the glass, the general market sales less, often need to order, mainly for a larger area of ground spring glass door wall glass wall.
Two, other glass
Other glass, but the author in the classification of flat glass, not the formal classification of the industry. Mainly:
1. Tempered glass. It is a kind of prestressed glass made of ordinary flat glass after reprocessing. Tempered glass has two characteristics compared with ordinary flat glass.
1) The strength of the former is several times that of the latter, the tensile strength is more than three times that of the latter, and the impact resistance is more than five times that of the latter.
2) Toughened glass is not easy to break, even if broken will be broken in the form of particles without sharp angle, the harm to human body is greatly reduced.
2, frosted glass. It is also processed on the surface of ordinary flat glass. Generally, the thickness is less than 9 degrees, with a thickness of 5 or 6.
3, sandblasting glass. Basically, the performance is similar to that of frosted glass, and the different grinding sand is sandblasting. Because of their visual similarity, many owners, even decoration professionals, confuse them.
4, embossed glass. It is a kind of flat glass made by calendering. Its biggest feature is opaque light, and more used in toilets and other decoration areas.
5, laminated glass. It is a kind of impact-resistant flat glass made by calendering wire or metal mesh embedded in the glass plate. When impacted, it will only form radial cracks and will not fall down and hurt people. So it is mostly used in high-rise buildings and highly concussion factories.
6, insulating glass. The two pieces of glass are kept in a certain interval by gluing method. The interval is dry air, and the surrounding sealing material is sealed. It is mainly used in decoration projects with sound insulation requirements.
7. Laminated glass. Laminated glass is generally composed of two ordinary flat glass (also can be tempered glass or other special glass) and glass between the organic bonding layer. When damaged, debris still adheres to the glue layer to avoid damage to human body caused by debris splashing. It is mostly used for decoration projects with safety requirements.
8, bullet proof glass. In fact, laminated glass is a kind of glass, but the composition of the glass mostly uses a higher strength of toughened glass, and the number of laminated glass is relatively large. It is widely used for decoration projects such as banks or luxury houses, which require very high safety requirements.
9, hot bending glass. The curved glass is formed by heating and softening the flat glass and molding in the mold, and then annealed. In some advanced decoration, the frequency is higher and higher, and it needs to be booked and not in stock.
10, glass brick. The manufacturing technology of glass brick is basically the same as that of flat glass. Among them is dry air. It is mainly used for decorative projects or transparent modeling with insulation requirements.
11, cellophane. Also known as glass membrane, with a variety of colors and colors. According to the different properties of paper film, it has different properties. Most of them have the functions of heat insulation, infrared protection, UV protection and explosion protection.
